Methodology.
This database includes publications on cannabinoids (randomised controlled trials, meta-analyses, systematic reviews, observational and registry studies) whose abstracts report clinical benefit for patients.
Case reports and studies with negative results were excluded, so this is not a systematic review and does not present objective effects of medical cannabis therapy.
For each publication, the population, study type and conclusions were taken from the PubMed abstract. The clinical effects of cannabinoid use were then drawn from those conclusions and linked to the studies that showed them.
“n” is the number of patients studied. Reviews that give no total patient count in the abstract are listed after those that do.
“Effects” are the clinical outcomes described in the abstracts, not molecular mechanisms.
This collection is a selection of the most noteworthy publications in a personal, subjective opinion of the author of this website. It has been presented for educational purposes only and does not replace any medical advice, actually reading each paper, any formal medical education or a consultation with a physician skilled and experienced in cannabinoid therapy.
